With my birthday soon approaching in a few short weeks…Dev has been asking me what I would like as a present. Really there is only one thing I want slash feel I need at the moment. But, Dev’s thinking it is boring, no fun, not a worthy b-day prez…I have been imaging unrealistic presents I could ask for that would make what I want look a little better

So here is my list:

Teeth that brush/florid themselves, so I never have to visit a dentist again…because who ever likes the dentist?!?! By they way Dev we have an appointment next week. I will drive

Two! A nursing bra made by Victoria Secret.. come on ladies are you with me on this one?! I would really like some support Did you get my joke there? haha I am so funny

Three! A trip to Bora Bora…looks pretty cool there…I heard you can jet ski with a pack of dolphins..why not

Four! actually this one is my real one…cause I ran out of creative ideas that fast. Can I have some shelves for my side of the closet? There are at home depot waiting for me

The baby has arrived! And he is perfect in every way! He is such a good calm baby, we are so excite to finally have him in our arms. Charlie is also very excited to have “brother” around, she loves to hold him and give him kisses. She likes to help mom burp him too. He is so chill, he just eats and sleeps. That’s it, he rarely cries, which is a little bit of a shock for me and Dev since Charlie came out screaming and didn’t stop till she was about 5 months old.  He is a joy and he is super handsome, I have beautiful children!! I am very in love

Okay, it’s been a long time since I have posted anything…so much has been going on, and life has just been rushing by. Yesterday we took some time out to take pictures of Charlie & Lynn before the new baby comes…and I just need to say that I am so in love with my beautiful wife and little girl. They mean everything to me and I love them so much!!! I am the luckiest husband and Dad in the whole world!

I just can’t get over how beautiful my wife is…even at 8 3/4 months pregnant – she is gorgeous!

Counting the days…and our blessings

 

This morning on a local radio station they gave the stats for how much a stay at home mom would be making if she got paid for all the jobs she actually did.  I perked up and listened, as I thought this might be nice to tease Dev with.  So they said that the average mom would be making a whopping 122,000 a year!  Awesome!  Where is that money?  Maybe I spent it at Costco buying diapers, Target buying clothes..for my child, and Micheals last year buying crafts haha, no seriously though… How sweet would that be?!

After listening to the radio I decided to look up the article this was from and came across some fun stuff.  An article from Strollerderby Parenting Blog said,

“And now to show all you stay-at-home full-timers how much I think you’re worth, a little math from Salary.com. In the “real” world, you’d be raking in six figures. ”

“Based on ten daily functions described by a survey of some twelve thousand stay-at-home moms, the average stay-at-homer should be earning $122,732 a year. In other words – that’s what they’d be paying someone else to do all of those duties.”

Futher down it showed some of those jobs:

“The Salary.com survey goes on to list eight other occupations filled by a stay-at-home parent, including “housekeeper, computer operator, facilities manager, van driver, psychologist, laundry machine operator, janitor and chief executive officer.”"

Still amused I  clicked over to Salary.com to find “The Mom Salary Wizard”  Awesome!!  So I took this little survey and guess how much I am worth.   Check it out

Yeah 72,835!  Yes Please, I will take it!  Hahaha… They even wrote me a check and e-mailed it to me.

For my very last photo assignment we got to take a pic of what ever we want and we get to print it on a 23×17 piece of paper.  Very Excited!  I wanted to take a pic of something I could put up in my house, so I picked the San Diego Temple.  Which is gorgeous and has a lot of meaning to Devan and I.  (this is where we got married) 

On Sunday I drove down to the temple by my self and had a great time walking around temple grounds taking pictures.  I love the temple and I love being there.  I feel so peaceful there.  I always feel Heavenly Fathers love when I am there.  Its like a warm blanket is wrapped around me, and I know its a little cheesy, but its true.

I am grateful to know I am a child of God.

Dev found one of our old film cameras the other day and it had one last roll of film in it.  So in a effort to entrain Charlie we let her play with it.  And entertain it did, she loves that thing.  She walks around the house saying “CHEESESSS”  actually more like “EEEESEE” and taking pretend, some times real pictures.  We are not sure what is on this film, but since Charlie finished the roll this morning we will soon find out

My next assignment was to photograph someone I love.  Easy right?  Ha…well my hubby is too busy and my child is too fast.  So I was doing some thinking and who better than Grandma Clark, aka, affectionately know as Big G.  I guess she usually won’t let anyone take her picture, but I got lucky and had a chance to photograph her just a few days before she moved back to good ol’ Utah.  We miss you already grandma!  

So even though she is probably going to slap me next time she sees me for posting these on my blog, I had to share them.  Because one she is beautiful and two she means alot to me and Devan.  She is an amazing woman.   Thanks Big -G!

 

Last month Charlie Cousins all got to come down and play!  We went to the tide pools, hung out in the pool, and just played around at Grandma Muir’s house.  It was fun to watch everyone interact.  Charlie loves her cousins!

So we had a self portrait assignment in our class and I was totally not excited about it.  Our teacher wanted us to see how is was to be on the other side of the camera.  And usually I don’t mind my pic being taken, but I am prego and not feeling too pretty lately, so I definitly put this on off till the last day   But with Dev’s help I think they turned out kinda nice.

Okay, so Lynn & I finally got our new project www.TheApronShoppe.com off the ground and it is now live! Whoohoo! We are actually really excited about it – not only because it’s something totally different from anything else we have done, but because it will help us support several wonderful causes too.

The site is basically a one stop shop Vintage Aprons and for high-class and high-fashion aprons for women, kids, and there are actually a few men’s styles too (who wouldn’t want a camo, flames, or skulls apron?) But what we are really excited about, is that we are going to take a portion of the proceeds from each apron sale, and donate them to several charities such Breast Cancer Awareness & The Hunger Project. If you know of any other charities, let us know! We want to focus on charities that focus on helping families, children and saving lives.
