I think Dev taught her this one.  She loves it.  She now puts anything over her head/eyes and walks around like a mummy with her arms out.  (We have to remind her to do that though, she is kinda a spaz sometimes).  She thinks she is sooo funny when she does this and always wants me to say, “Where’s Charlie?  I can’t see you…”  And it is funny until she smacks into a wall.

What does Dev do for a living?” A question I never really know how to answer. As it comes out of someones mouth I think, “No, please a different question.” It’s so hard to pin point, its just complicated and very random, wide spread, he does a lot of different things. We have often joked together about this question and come up with funny answers, my favorite is “Oh it’s Lynn, she is my sugar mama” haha totally not true It used to be easy and fun when he was the President at Sephra. (Who wouldn’t love to say, “yeah he’s the president of a chocolate fountain company”) hahaha People love to talk about chocolate and knowing that there is something out there in the world as amazing and delicious as a chocolate fountain. But, since Devan left the company and started his own 4-5 businesses, its gotten a little tricky. “He’s self employed”…which usually leads to another question. But, after two years of being “self employed” I think we have the answer- He does e-commerce. But, that leads to another question. “What does he sell.” So maybe I AM stumped. I need a short sentence, just a few words to describe what he does, with no extra questions. I dunno…I will keep thinking. Maybe you can think of an answer…..

He also sells stock photography, is great at web design, advertising, starting businesses, creating and designing products like the chocolate fountain (and others we can not reveal yet ) He is an entrepreneur and there is no stopping him He is pretty much amazing. I love my man.

After having two babies I am a fatty.  Just going to throw that out there.  I am!  “Oh Lynn…”  yeah yeah I know what you might say, but I am not happy with my bod.  I used to swim two to four hours a day, I was super toned and skinny.  Pretty much since I got married I haven’t worked out very much and in the past two years even the word “workout” didn’t exsit.  So! Now I have had it.  I am going to kick my butt into shape! (Eatting a salad as we speak…as I write)    Yesterday was my start day.  I am watching my (healthy)calories about 1400 a day and I am working out like a maniac.    Monday and Wednesday nights I swim laps.  Everyday I am trying to do my elpicial for 20mins then do Jillian Micheals work out video.  I will probably do some weights at the gym and maybe a cycle class at some point.  That’s my plan!  I am taking my measurments tonight and I am going to take a “goodbye” (before) picture (which no one will ever see!).   Here I go!!!  Wish me luck!  And if you read this and see me, ask me how I am doing!!  I need all the motivation I can get.     I hope to reach my goal in 30 days.  Today is 29 days till I am a hot mama

I just got home from a baptism for a boy in my ward.  And my heart is full.  I wanted to share some of  my thoughts from this weekend and about the mom of this boy.  Jane was one of the first people who reached out to me and became my friend when I moved to San Diego.  Although I was closer in age to her oldest child, I never felt like she thought I was too young to be her friend.  She listened when my in-laws went through their divorce, when my husband decided to go into business for himself (exciting and risky/scary), when I was overwhelmed becoming a new mom.  She always cheered me on, always made me feel like I was one of the most amazing people she knew (which I am positive can not be true, she knows a lot of amazing people).  I have never told her how much her listening ear has ment to me and how much it means to be that she is my friend.  That she would take me to LA fashion district for fun, go hunting for antiques in Fallbrook, and entertain my little Charlie with the contents of her purse

If I have ever ment a woman who is in tune with the spirit and acts on her promptings; I would have to say it is Jane. She has been the answer to my prayers many times.  For example: before I had Charlie, I had a miscarriage.  Although I wasn’t very far along, it was still hard for me and I had a lot of questions, fears, concerns.  I needed some peace of mind.  I stopped by Jane’s home to drop something off and she asked how I was doing. We talked just for a brief moment before she asked if I wanted to come in and watch a video she had made for a class she was teaching, about raising families.  I didn’t have anything I needed to rush to, so I watched the video.  It was an interview with a women who struggled for years (I think 9) to conceive and when she finally did lost the baby at 7 or 8 months.  She actually went into labor one night, her husband delivered the baby in their room, and the baby died.  My heart was aching for this woman. But, as I watched her, she spoke with ease and said all the things I needed to hear.  I can’t recall her words, but in that video I found my peace.  That woman later went on to have 5 or 6 children.  Anyway, the point is that Jane saw a need and helped.  As she has done many times and not just for me.

She is a spiritual woman, with good taste , down to earth, honest, talented, loves sports!, strong, a good friend, and a great mother.  Which brings me to my thoughts of the weekend, and what made me think of how much I look up to Jane and am grateful for her.  Her second oldest, had his eagle court of honor yesterday.  And her youngest son, who has Down-Syndrome, was baptized today.  At both places I saw a proud mama   A mom who has worked hard to help her children want to strive to do and be better.  What a great weekend for her family.  Thanks for sharing it Jane! I also should mention that Jane’s oldest Emily is equally as wonderful as her mom and I know she will do great things.  Watching Jane’s family just made me reflect on how grateful I am for her example.  So thanks Jane! You are a power house!!!  (that means you are more than awesome)

Easter Morning went something like this… Chocolate, Chocolate, sneaking more CHOCOLATE!! JELLY BEANS!!! PEEP’S!!! MORE CHOCOLATE ARRGGEE!!! I almost lost a finger when I tried to take chocolate out of Charlie’s hand. Not that she was trying to bite me, but my pesky hand just got in the way of the chocolate and her mouth. Yikes-a-Ronda! She was a chocolate freak, she always has been actually. And it doesn’t help much that her dad makes and sells chocolate for a living. Dev and I are not big chocolate lovers, so it’s pretty comical to us. Easter was tons of fun this year. I love my family.

Grandpa’s are great!

This year we spent Easter in Arizona.  It was beautiful and we had lots of fun being with my parents and grandparents.  I was a little worried about coloring eggs with my wild child, Charlie, so we sat outside in the 70 degree gorgeous sunshine and dyed eggs. Charlie did great and she had a blast.  Beck had fun too, trying to eat the eggs…

Lately Charlie has been really into organizing objects and stacking anything.  She seems to find a lot of joy in this, I can’t hide it, this makes me a proud mama!   I love to organize!  She is such a funny girl.
