Fixing it UP!

Alrighty, Dev and I need to do some blog fixing up. Our banner is a little out dated as we now have two children and no longer have Bob the dog. We also are missing a lot of you on our blog roll- I will work on that and organizing those. And we need a button to my new-ish blog. www.LynnSpin.com That’s right I ask people to put it on their blogs, but I don’t even have it on mine No good. So, lets all make a goal of adding that little button (wink wink) to our blogs I love you all! Thanks for reading our blog and for enjoying how awesomely funny I am (another wink)

A Grateful Day

Last night Charlie was running a temp of 104.2. Hoping we could get it down before it reached 105 and needed to trip to the hospital, we sat cuddled together on the couch eating snow cones and watching High School Musical 3. It was nice. Not nice that she wasn’t feeling well, but nice to hold each other and need each other. Dev and I rarely get to hold Charlie. She has never cuddled with us, she was a colicky baby and went straight from that to a running toddler. So the moments we get to hold each other are wonderful. I love my little girl. And, even though she is busy all the time, I know she loves me too. We are a happy family

And as for the title of this post. Today I can’t help but be overwhelmingly grateful for my beautiful and healthy children. I am glad Charlie’s temp is back down, and I am glad she is such a happy, fun loving, wild woman. And she is allllll mine. Oh I love my babies.

And I am grateful for the man that helped my make these beautiful babies I could not have dreamed I would marry someone so kind.

I have a blonde moment here and there, probably more than most, let’s get real But, at least I can admit it and laugh (after turning a light shade of embarrassed red).

I referenced our “inside umm… joke” a few posts back and I thought I would let you in on my little embarrassing secret. Well, here it is:

After Dev and I got married we went on a lovely little date to the pottery painting place and decided to make a salsa dish as seen here.

After three years, one child, and one more on the way, we finally finished our dish. I was pregnant when I made this mistake…maybe that makes this a little better. ANYWAY, the last touch was to write yum… on the inside. Or yummy. But when we picked up our dish and looked inside we discovered I wrote LOOK BELOW

Yeah… “Umm…” umm… this is delicious That works right Oh well, it makes us laugh every time we look at it. Silly Lynnie

Tea Party Anyone?

Charlie had her first tea party with a few of her best buds. They are so stink’n cute! We ate peanut butter and jelly in the shape of flowers, dressed up, went outside to pick flowers, and DANCED of course. These girls had lots of fun during the tea party. So fun having a little girl

WARNING! PICTURES MAY BE DISTURBING hahaha….

One day I was walking into the kitchen and saw this poor little doll in time out. It freaked me out at first, looked so real for a second. I then heard Charlie from the other room yell, “Two mintues baby! Bad Baby, Time OUT!” First thought that went through my brain “Ahh! I am really this mean?” I very kindly asked Charlie to come over to talk to me and proceeded to tell her that the baby was not bad, she is too little to go to time out, and that we need to be nice to the baby doll. I also told her, when she makes a bad choice sometimes I need her to sit in time out so that she has time to think about making a better choice next time. . . ugh! Who knows if any of that sunk-in to her two year old brain, but it made me feel a little better about dolly being yelled at and shoved in the time out corner. Oh man… Some days I have no idea what I am doing.

It’s been a month or more since Beck got his teeth, but now they are really poking out. He is the most smily baby I have ever met. I honestly think that (tell me if you disagree, cuz ya won’t if you meet him ) Here is him chowing down on some deliciously disgusting baby food. He is a little food inhaler too, scarfs everything down. I love my little man!!

Charlie’s New Game

I think Dev taught her this one. She loves it. She now puts anything over her head/eyes and walks around like a mummy with her arms out. (We have to remind her to do that though, she is kinda a spaz sometimes). She thinks she is sooo funny when she does this and always wants me to say, “Where’s Charlie? I can’t see you…” And it is funny until she smacks into a wall.

This is totally a blackmail picture for Beck someday hahaha. We will put this in his wedding video It’s hard having an older sister who loves hats. Sorry Beck Someday you will be bigger than her This picture cracks me up! Thanks Grandma Z for the cool hats. She made the blue one for Charlie for Easter and the white one was mine for Easter when I was like 8. (Just a little factoid for ya)
